Hello everyone! It has been a long while since my last blog, but I'm back! There has been SO much going on in my life.... New places, new faces, new relationships and many new discoveries!
One of the biggest things that I have discovered this year has been about people and relationships! I am thankful everyday for the awesome relationships that God has blessed me with. I have the best friends who are truly like family to me. 2012 has been a year of gaining good and shedding what's not so good for me. I have to be honest and say...IT HURTS! I LOVE people and I have enjoyed my life however, everybody who has been in my life has not necessarily been FOR my life! I didn't know that people could ever be so mean, and careless. Usually your relationships have a certain tone and when the tone changes for no apparent reason...things don't seem "cool" anymore. I tried to beat the system by taking everybody with me but....that is not wise for this journey. I thought if I cared for people, they would care back, or if I reached out to someone that they would reach back. For some reason I think that if a person can just be consistent, that everything would be alright. Consistently mean or consistently loving! Ha ha ha!
I know this blog may sing like the blues, but I have to tell ya....I am grateful each and everyday! I am grateful for people like you who love God and love people, I am grateful for these hard life-lessons, I am grateful for the truth which has set a lot of things free in my life and I am grateful for a God who loves me even when it seems as if I don't deserve it. I am okay with the plans HE has for me, and not my plans or the ones people try to make on my behalf! (stay tuned for THAT blog).
Peace be unto you my readers and God bless each and everyone of you!

A Respect For YOUR Giftings
I wanted to take out some time to talk about some of the most awesome gift encounters I have had this year! I am always inspired by people who do what God tells them to do, even if it is unfamiliar territory. One of my bestest friends has written an awesome devotional called, Living The Light! Some of you may already know Nurisha Liggins, but I want to encourage you to check out her site, www.nurishaliggins.com. Most everyone is looking for a fresh new start for the new year and I have found that no matter WHEN you decide that you are ready to take a dive into your own heart, Living The Light will help to guide you thru and awesome journey to self-discovery of who God is in your life. Strap on your seatbelt for the ride because Nurisha tells it like it IS! Never fear....God is in there! (smile)
One day I was on the Internet and I discovered this AMAZING website that had some of the most stylish accessories EVER!!!! As I browsed through the site, I noticed that the products I was most attracted to, are designed by my friend Vanita Weithers. Check out her page at www.facebook.com/neemadesigns. Her deigns are original, affordable and down right couture! After looking at her work, I was inspired to support small businesses and independent artists. I'm delighted to know that God has already given us everything we need and is also very generous with what we desire as well!
I am so proud of one of my brothers, who in spite of all he has encountered this year with the passing of his wife and transitioning into being a single dad, has completed his first novel called At A Mirror's Glance. I must tell you....I could NOT put this book down, it was so good! Check out, www.atamirrorsglance.com. Savaslas is an amazing writer and he says that this novel is fictitious but somehow I keep thinking that the novel is about someone I know...it is just SO REAL! I dare you to get the book!
Who comes up with the idea to make running errands for people a BUSINESS??? Keokuk did! Check out www.giftederrand.com. I know one of the biggest things for people, especially during the holiday season is...running errands, getting all of the right gifts, setting up and coordinating events and just doing stuff that can seem time consuming. Keokuk's company has mastered the art of saving time and keeping you from the headache of running errands.
One of the highlights of my year is some of my FAVORITE voices in music has released a NEW single, SWV. Check out my girls on iTunes SWV Co-Sign and follow them on Twitter at www.twitter.com/THEREALSWV. All of the real fans...STAND UP!
Well, I hope you have enjoyed my journey this year with the things that have inspired me the most. I am so thankful that God uses you to share His love with me with your gifts. Don't stop believing in yourself, because God believes in YOU!

Spiritually Dehydrated? Passion Un-plugged?
When the music stops....the curtains drop....and the light switch flips to "off", guess who is left? Me! Lately I have found myself being very frustrated with facing the music. How many people actually take out the time to get to know who we really are? The truth is, most of us if we would be honest with ourselves, are only being who people want us to be, and what situations require us to be for a specific time. After so many years of being who "others" require or request you to be, you will find yourself in the same place I have been....FRUSTRATED!!! What are you passionate about? What has God called you to do? Who has God called you to be? What things do you need to remove from your life in order to put God first and keep him there?

God Grounded Relationships
Where is God in your relationship with your spouse/future spouse?
Is He in the forefront of the relationship?
Is He in the "first aid kit" (you know...just there when things are looking bad)
Is He in the backseat?
Have you ever invited Him to be the center of your relationship at all?
I am thankful for so many examples of Godly relationships that exists in our society today. Take a look around, I am SURE you can find a relationship that is built upon Godly principles and standards, and if you can't find anyone......."Houston we have a problem!"
You must surround yourself with positive people. Become the change you would like to see...be that loooong laundry list of attributes you expect your spouse to be!
The bible says in Ephesians 5:25 "Husband's love your wives, just as Christ loved the church, and gave himself up for her." Wow! What are you willing to give up to gain for this kind of love?
We must get out of our minds that we are "loosing" something whenever things don't seem to go "our way!" Put in, what you expect to get out of it!
You cannot be in a relationship with someone and not be willing to compromise. I don't want to go too deep but I will say this...
Search for things to make your spouse happy
Look for the good in your spouse
Don't spend time pointing out flaws or pointing fingers...self-evaluate
FIX YOU FIRST!!!
Most importantly, to those who are married, unless you have a God given, biblical reason to leave your marriage, seek God to know how He feels about marriage and divorce.
*If you are dealing with domestic abuse or you feel your life or your children's life is in danger, please contact your local police department and/or your local church.

My marriage started out as a conversation that never ended...
Proverbs 18:22 says, " He who finds a wife, finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord..."
I was fed up...tired and "not try'n to hear that", when it came to marital relationships until I met my husband. So many people have distorted views of what marriages are meant to be. I have learned that many times God will allow you to meet someone who is simply on assignment for a season in your life. Why do we want to carry last seasons "stuff" into the new places that God is carrying us to? I know for some people it just "feels right" or for others, it may be a guilt complex, but just know that when YOU take over where God is not...you are expected to carry the weight of that relationship on your own.
Galatians 5:22 says, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control..."
I hear a lot of people say they can't find a good man or a good woman, but the question is....are YOU what you are looking for in a spouse? and lets not even talk about who should be looking for who! (LOL) I think Galatians gives you a clue as to what you should see in a potential spouse.
I am starting to get a real true understanding of what a "help meet" is... allow me to be me and say, when you just busy yourself with "Kingdom" work, you put yourself in a position to receive or require "help" to "meet" your Kingdom assignments! Genesis 2:18 says, "And the Lord God said, It is not good that man should be alone, I will make him a help meet" Sounds to me like an assignment. This does not mean your spouse is a door mat!
The natural progression/transition from being single to being married, ...I have the most wonderful husband! God blessed me with an awesome King. Right before we met, I began to know me, and discovered that I really like me and that I'm okay with who I am. It wasn't until this time that I realized that my self value needed to be re-visited but this time I needed to simply get an understanding of who God says I am, and walk in it.
I have been bought with a price, I am a friend of God, God has accepted me, I am a child of God, and I am an heir of God....just to name a few!
***Warning*** When you get to know who you are in God, you become more of a threat because the enemy knows if he can keep you confused, you will struggle with carrying out your assignments! Keep it mov'n!
I know this blog may seem a bit random but this is meant to spark a conversation between you and God about who you are in Him. Thank God for making you fearfully and wonderfully.
I want to encourage you to get to know who YOU are in God and stop allowing what others think about you become your identifier. For some of you, it may be meant for you to be married, but you must be okay with you first.
Allow God to reveal His plans that He has for you to manifest in your life. Stay in tune with God, talk to Him, He would LOVE to hear from you today. Allow Him to show you who's for you, walk forward and upward and never allow anyone else's agenda to take precedent over what God has for you.

I'm Baaaaaaaaaaaaack! ;)
Soooo, I have been up late soaking in all of the revelation that God has given to me. Whew! I'm a bit overwhelmed, but I feel GREAT! There are some brand new things that God is doing in my life. (excuse me for making this real personal) It's all about me right now! lol
Well, I have been presented with some awesome opportunities to do some great things with some GREAT people! Today I am super excited because my dad handed me over his unreleased music!!! (sorry, but you're going to have to wait for it) I know a lot of you out there have been waiting to hear from him (Chuck Smith), and I am sure some of you have worn that purple CD "Bassically Bass" all the way out! There is sooooo much music, I will probably not sleep tonight because I want to study it and be sure that we release what God wants us to release.
Some of you might wonder, "Who is Chuck Smith?" Well, he has done sooooo many things that it is impossible to re-trace them all. One record he was a part of that some of you may be familiar with is, the "Everlasting Life" record, Kim Burrell. My father played the bass solos on that record and they are SMASH'N! Well, I've got my work cut out for me so, I shall chat with you all lata!
Peace n Blessings
