Where is God in your relationship with your spouse/future spouse?
Is He in the forefront of the relationship?
Is He in the "first aid kit" (you know...just there when things are looking bad)
Is He in the backseat?
Have you ever invited Him to be the center of your relationship at all?
I am thankful for so many examples of Godly relationships that exists in our society today. Take a look around, I am SURE you can find a relationship that is built upon Godly principles and standards, and if you can't find anyone......."Houston we have a problem!"
You must surround yourself with positive people. Become the change you would like to see...be that loooong laundry list of attributes you expect your spouse to be!
The bible says in Ephesians 5:25 "Husband's love your wives, just as Christ loved the church, and gave himself up for her." Wow! What are you willing to give up to gain for this kind of love?
We must get out of our minds that we are "loosing" something whenever things don't seem to go "our way!" Put in, what you expect to get out of it!
You cannot be in a relationship with someone and not be willing to compromise. I don't want to go too deep but I will say this...
Search for things to make your spouse happy
Look for the good in your spouse
Don't spend time pointing out flaws or pointing fingers...self-evaluate
FIX YOU FIRST!!!
Most importantly, to those who are married, unless you have a God given, biblical reason to leave your marriage, seek God to know how He feels about marriage and divorce.
*If you are dealing with domestic abuse or you feel your life or your children's life is in danger, please contact your local police department and/or your local church.

My marriage started out as a conversation that never ended...
Proverbs 18:22 says, " He who finds a wife, finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord..."
I was fed up...tired and "not try'n to hear that", when it came to marital relationships until I met my husband. So many people have distorted views of what marriages are meant to be. I have learned that many times God will allow you to meet someone who is simply on assignment for a season in your life. Why do we want to carry last seasons "stuff" into the new places that God is carrying us to? I know for some people it just "feels right" or for others, it may be a guilt complex, but just know that when YOU take over where God is not...you are expected to carry the weight of that relationship on your own.
Galatians 5:22 says, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control..."
I hear a lot of people say they can't find a good man or a good woman, but the question is....are YOU what you are looking for in a spouse? and lets not even talk about who should be looking for who! (LOL) I think Galatians gives you a clue as to what you should see in a potential spouse.
I am starting to get a real true understanding of what a "help meet" is... allow me to be me and say, when you just busy yourself with "Kingdom" work, you put yourself in a position to receive or require "help" to "meet" your Kingdom assignments! Genesis 2:18 says, "And the Lord God said, It is not good that man should be alone, I will make him a help meet" Sounds to me like an assignment. This does not mean your spouse is a door mat!
The natural progression/transition from being single to being married, ...I have the most wonderful husband! God blessed me with an awesome King. Right before we met, I began to know me, and discovered that I really like me and that I'm okay with who I am. It wasn't until this time that I realized that my self value needed to be re-visited but this time I needed to simply get an understanding of who God says I am, and walk in it.
I have been bought with a price, I am a friend of God, God has accepted me, I am a child of God, and I am an heir of God....just to name a few!
***Warning*** When you get to know who you are in God, you become more of a threat because the enemy knows if he can keep you confused, you will struggle with carrying out your assignments! Keep it mov'n!
I know this blog may seem a bit random but this is meant to spark a conversation between you and God about who you are in Him. Thank God for making you fearfully and wonderfully.
I want to encourage you to get to know who YOU are in God and stop allowing what others think about you become your identifier. For some of you, it may be meant for you to be married, but you must be okay with you first.
Allow God to reveal His plans that He has for you to manifest in your life. Stay in tune with God, talk to Him, He would LOVE to hear from you today. Allow Him to show you who's for you, walk forward and upward and never allow anyone else's agenda to take precedent over what God has for you.

I'm Baaaaaaaaaaaaack! ;)
Soooo, I have been up late soaking in all of the revelation that God has given to me. Whew! I'm a bit overwhelmed, but I feel GREAT! There are some brand new things that God is doing in my life. (excuse me for making this real personal) It's all about me right now! lol
Well, I have been presented with some awesome opportunities to do some great things with some GREAT people! Today I am super excited because my dad handed me over his unreleased music!!! (sorry, but you're going to have to wait for it) I know a lot of you out there have been waiting to hear from him (Chuck Smith), and I am sure some of you have worn that purple CD "Bassically Bass" all the way out! There is sooooo much music, I will probably not sleep tonight because I want to study it and be sure that we release what God wants us to release.
Some of you might wonder, "Who is Chuck Smith?" Well, he has done sooooo many things that it is impossible to re-trace them all. One record he was a part of that some of you may be familiar with is, the "Everlasting Life" record, Kim Burrell. My father played the bass solos on that record and they are SMASH'N! Well, I've got my work cut out for me so, I shall chat with you all lata!
Peace n Blessings

Let's Get It Started~~
Hello everybody! I hope all is well with each and everyone of you! I am working on this "blog" thing... I try to encourage others to write and share stories as well as experiences with others, because you never know how it can be a blessing to someone else's' life. I have found that you do not have to be "scholarly" or have some fancy degree to put your feelings on paper, so..... be on the lookout! I am going to write about my life experiences dealing with God, family, ministry and music, just to name a few; all of these things have everything to do with everything I do.
God Bless You!
